THE PROBLEM
DAILY VACATION RENTALS WILL FOREVER CHANGE THE COMMUNITIES WE LOVE
Our Commissioners want to remove our protections and allow Airbnb, Vrbo, investors, and profit-driven rental corporations to take over our Brevard County neighborhoods. Daily rentals will increase traffic, trash, noise and crime — and we'll have to pay for extra enforcement through our own taxes. Short-term visitors do not respect our communities, streets, beaches, sea turtles, and lagoon like residents do.
Our quiet family neighborhoods are simply not designed to be "hotel houses" rented out by the day, room or hour. In other areas of Florida and around the U.S., investors have taken over beautiful areas like ours and pushed owner-residents out. It is up to us TOGETHER as a community, to stand up for our homes, our communities, our beautiful paradise, and our way of life!
